The Casa Amelia Cooking Day is designed to give you an insight into the availability and range of local products and a chance to create dishes from local recipes so that you can go home with more than just a memory of what you have eaten in the valley!
This very active day – full of rustic Spanish culinary adventures, tastes and colour is only offered to a maximum of 4 people on each day and includes:
- The preparation of a 3 course dinner for 2 for each participant to take home and enjoy
- A guided short walk in the hills to collect herbs and fresh goats milk
- The opportunity to taste local pastries, tapas, cheeses, cured meats and fruits.
- A seasonal menu created from available local, seasonal products
- All tuition

- 09.00 Introduction over coffee and home made pastries
- 09.30 Walk in the hills to find herbs and collect goats milk
- 11.30 Drink and Tapas break – a chance to make and taste some simple tapas
- 12.30 Starter preparation
- 14.00 Lunch – local cheese, ham, fruit and Casa Amelia bread, pate and preserves
- 15.00 Main course preparation
- 16.30 Merienda - the Spanish equivalent of afternoon tea only with Chocolate and Churros
- 17.00 Dessert preparation
- 18.00 Close
